You may have forgotten amidst all the exciement surrounding the new movie and the LEGO game, but once upon a time (2006) Lucasarts announced they were working on another Indiana Jones game. One based on NaturalMotion's pretty-darn-exciting Euphoria physics and animation technology. Well, since then, we've heard squat on the game. Hell, talking about it around the tower's water cooler this morning, I'd forgotten all about it. So it was great to hear from Vanity Fair, of all places, that the game's still being worked on. Good news. LEGO's great and all, but sometimes you just want to put a ragdoll Nazi's face through a windshield, you know?

Still more excited about the Lego version.
I hope it looks better than it used to.
That screenshot reminds me of 'Mafia'. Loved that game.
This one is for the movie that comes out in May. Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
It's not their tech, they've licensed it from Natural Motion. [www.naturalmotion.com]
Credit where credit's due!
I love Indiana Jones, this game looked cool when I first seen it. Glad to hear it's still on the way.
they should hire Naughty Dog, use Uncharted engine and thats it :)
@TheCleaningGuy: That was a raw tech demo, give em a break

Wow so none of the characters cast any form of shadow? The graphics look about on par with a Dreamcasyt game, and not even a good one.
@homernoy: Seconded.
@fatez: That quite possibly would make the best Indiana Jones game ever!
@Mr.Waffleton:
The game is not finshed.
@n/a: @fatez:
YES!! And make it a PS3 exclusive!! ( I know I am dreaming from the drool running down my face )
I want a sequel to Fate of Atlantis.
Anyone else here loved the Indiana Jones arcade game too? Man that was some good times riding on that rollercoaster from hell of a minecart part!
@fatez:
I thought Naughty Dog already did an Indiana Jones game called Uncharted. Joking.
Loved Uncharted.
Thanks. I was just looking back to see if there was a response to my question on this in the Lego Indy article.
That picture is like 2 years old, isn't it? I imagine the game looks quite different now.
I really hope this is a great Indy experience. The last game (Emperor's Tomb) was a BLAST despite technical issues. My only complaint (that I have with a lot of Indy games) is that the stories get to fantasy-oriented. Why can't they stay at least as grounded as the movies, as Indy is supposed to be somewhat of a skeptic?
@homernoy: Indy was more exploration and less constant shooting mercenaries and monsters.
I forgot all about this one also.
Uncharted was awesome, i bet this wont be as good...no matter how much euphoria they use.
@Ashurahori:
Oh, I know. I was just joking. Uncharted did have an Indiana Jones meets FarCry feel to it though. At least to me it did.
If theres one thing I really hope for is a lot of whip action!
@homernoy:
Oh, and a touch of Tomb Rader for the third person perspective among some other things. Of course it was a fantastic game and it took all the best from other games to become one great game. Just my opinion.
This is gonna be awesome! I liked Emperor's Tomb, the last game, and this one looks to be even better. PS: That new Dark Sector game stole its cool shruiken-like weapon from Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb.
Head + Car = Win
I really need to finish Emperor's Tomb. I loved that game.
Needs shadow effect in the game.
@n/a: Didn't know you were into the kinky stuff... ;D
I wonder if they're going to use their "Force Unleashed" Engine. Imagine all the stupid nazis cockily wandering into tombs and the cool animations that could come from that in this engine.
@UHYVE: They both use the same engine (Ronin), so yes, you can expect cool animations in this game.
Oh, and wood will break like wood.
I do hope they will put in a mini arc that I can open up and melt everyone around me. ;D
I wanna play the lego Version Because it seem more FUN lol. But id be will to try this out.
@n/a: hehe now that would be cool. And yeah Uncharted could had 100 times the success if it had Indy.
A remake of at least parts of the 80s games would be great!!! the bridge scene, deadly mayan traps, the mine carts, and levels in a castle to swing with the wip.... oh... dreams and more dreams.
I like, how they talked about ragdoll like it was new and exciting. That's all the tech demo showed, and it was terrible at that.
Wow, how interesting.
There's a line where Mr. Blackman says they're about 3 years ahead of Rockstar in terms of technology. Wouldn't it be interesting if the Indiana Jones game took a GTA approach? Free-roaming Archeology!
I'm excited for this since first revealed. I hope they release a trailer soon, wow... I'm excited for Lucas Arts games, several of them lol
Thank god. I've only be waiting to throw Chinamen off a bus for like 24 YEARS.
@Insomnia Bob:
You should try it sometime. It's fun! Also, the police are funny when they yell at you.
Doesn´t look like there´s much hope in this game coming out at the same time of the new movie unfortunately.
The graphics really didn't wow me in the trailer but it looked like a good ass-kicker game. Punching a guy down a flight of stairs, now that's fun!
