This year’s Taipei Game Show has been canceled. It was previously rescheduled to June 25 – 28, but organizers have now decided to call off his year’s show due to coronavirus covid-19 concerns. 

Capcom has canceled the first half of this year’s Capcom Pro Tour due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. The second half of the developer’s official Street Fighter V competition is still set to begin in July, but the schedule will be adjusted further if necessary.

Fallout 76‘s big Wastelanders update has been delayed by a week. Bethesda said in a statement today that the major expansion adding new story quests and characters would be pushed back from April 7 to April 14 due to new work from home policies implemented amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Nintendo released an update earlier today that patched out Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ item duplication glitch that was discovered over the weekend. Not that anyone ever used it. Because that would be cheating. And no one would ever cheat in an Animal Crossing game.

Game developer Landon Montgomery has passed away, Gearbox announced. He was one of the studio’s co-founders back in 1999. “In our earliest years, Landon played a big role in helping to set our path,” the studio said. “We will always be thankful and remember him for being a part of our lives.” 

Voice actor Hiroshi Masuoka has passed away from cancer. He was best known for voicing Masuo Fuguta in Sazae-san and Jam Ojisan in Anpanman, both of which he did until last year. Masuoka was 83. May he rest in peace.
