Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs is a great horror sequel filled with tons of NOPE moments. Even its glitches are freakin’ scary. I Thought This Game Was Supposed To Be Realistic. Oh Well!
One of ArmA III’s biggest selling points is its realism—it’s a modern combat simulation that gives players a sandbox to play out scenarios not possible in most other games. So I was certainly surprised to see this footage by Moerderhoschi785, where a player rides a drone like he was the Green Goblin or something. Mind,…

Finally, The Avengers I Always Needed
Mighty Avengers just became my favorite mainstream comic, because it’s giving me something that I’ve been wishing for forever. Brown superheroes, broke superheroes, jerk superheroes, all of them barely getting along but having to save the world any damn way. Used to be that the idea of a Black/Urban/Not Just White Folks Avengers team got…

Final Fantasy XIV MMO Log Two: A Few Cents Short Of A Dragoon
I really wanted this week’s video MMO log for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to show you my ascension from Lancer to Dragoon at level 30, but I fell short. That I’m bummed about it says a lot about how I feel about the game. First off, let me just thank all of the…

Okay, Real Talk. What’s Going On With Ash Ketchum’s Age?
Now that we’ve seen what Ash will look like in the newest season of the Pokemon anime, once again discussion of one of the show’s greatest mystery flares up: just how old is Ash Ketchum supposed to be, and why does he almost never seem to age? “Almost” is important there, since the newest version…

It’s been a while! Yes, it’s been some time since we’ve shared the musical stylings of Camille and Kennerly, aka the Harp Twins. Duke Nukem Creators Drop Lawsuit Over Unpaid Royalties
3D Realms, the studio that spent more than ten years working on Duke Nukem Forever, has dropped their lawsuit against Gearbox Software, the company that purchased the rights to the game and finally published it. Here’s The Prettiest Version of Batman: Arkham Origins
Did you guess it would be the PC version? ‘Cause then you’d be right. Well, mostly. Check out this video by GamesHQMedia, which showcases what Arkham Origins looks like with Nvidia PhysX turned on—most of the additional effects it provides have to do with details like snow, fog, shadows. Small stuff, but small stuff that…

The Best Part Of Harry Potter 7 Begins Infinity Blade III
As a more casual Harry Potter enthusiast, the best moment in the entire movie series was The Tale of the Three Brothers, an animated aside from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Chair creative director Donald Mustard liked it as well, so he hired the animation company that made it to summarize the…

You’ll Never Guess What Game This Beautiful Trailer Belongs To
I downloaded an odd game yesterday, figuring it would be something silly; something light. I opened it up and this video started. I watched, completely entranced. I nearly cried. God damn, Chipotle advergame. Seriously. The song is “Pure Imagination,” a haunting arrangement recorded by Fiona Apple specifically for this game. The game and video are…

With about two months to go before the release of the Xbox One and PS4, there’s been a lot of buzz about the performance capabilities of both next-gen consoles. A new article over at Edge has sources apparently familiar with developing for both consoles saying that Sony’s upcoming hardware is more powerful. But the difference…

There’s No Such Thing As A “Citizen Kane” Of Video Games (Yet)
It’s a term you’ve probably heard passed around quite a bit. The “Citizen Kane” of video games. But what exactly does it mean to be referred to as the “Citizen Kane” of anything? Why is Citizen Kane celebrated as the quintessential, best-film-ever, no-comparison trump card to everything in the movie world anyway? And can video…

Mega Mewtwo X Is Cool. More Gender-Specific Pokemon Forms Are Cooler.
It’s been two days since the big Corocoro Pokemon X and Y news explosion and, like clockwork, here comes The Pokemon Company to verify everything and add a little spice. Two Mega Mewtwos and a Mega Garchomp? True. Starter evolutions? Cute! A customizeable Pokemon? Interesting. New Pokemon with male and female forms? Awesome. Let’s take…
