Nintendo has announced that the Switch will launch in China on December 10. It will be priced at 2,099 yuan ($297) and Tencent will be the console’s local sales agent.

After an 8-month maintenance period, free-to-play smartphone game Disgaea RPG is resuming service. The announcement notice apologized for the wait and offered gratitude to players. At launch in Japan, there were server issues, so hopefully, the lengthy maintenance has that fixed.

Starting November 30, One Piece fans can board a life-sized version of Thousand Sunny ship and take a short, thirty-minute cruise at Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Nagasaki. The replica boat isn’t new (here’s a video tour from a few years back), but if you’re in Japan and like One Piece, maybe check it out.  

Next month, a Hatsune Miku themed clothing store will open in Shibuya for a limited time only. The shop opens on December 20 in Shibuya 109 and will run until January 13.

Dragon Quest X is getting a browser game version in Japan. Next year, it will be playable on PC, smartphones, and tablets. More details are expected to be revealed at a later date. No word yet on an international release.

According to TV Asahi, a 51-year-old man has confessed to calling his former employer, saying, “If I sprinkle gasoline [at the office] like Kyoto Animation, everything will burn down.” The man previously worked at the company, which is based in Nagoya, and said he had a grudge about how he was bullied at work.
