September 3 was the day that Zenitsu Agatsuma from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was born. It’s not uncommon for anime fans to celebrate their beloved characters’ birthdays online by posing merch or even baking birthday cakes. Twitter user Momotan’s online celebration was extra special. As pointed out on Hachima (via Soranews), Momotan posted a…

Burger King Releases A Chocolate Whopper In Taiwan

Back in 2018, Burger King announced a chocolate Whopper. That was an April Fool’s prank. Now, in 2020, that joke has become a reality. The original gag was more dessert than a burger, featuring a chocolate cake bun, a chocolate patty, raspberry sauce, white chocolate rings, and candied oranges. This, however, is a real burger.…

Crusader Kings III’s Loading Screens Are Masterpieces

Paradox’s grand strategy games have always had loading screen art—something you see a lot of over the months/years you play these games—that can best be described as “functional”. Crusader Kings III throws that tradition straight off the parapet with some absolutely gorgeous works of art by industry legend Craig Mullins. When Paradox first announced Mullins’…

The Week In Games: My Kingdom For A Reckoning

Prepare for a reckoning, again! Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning comes out this week for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you locked me in a room with a list of every video released in the last 10 years and asked me to pick 100 of them that I figured would get remastered or remade this…

Downhill Jam Still Sucks In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

The new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remake released this week is really good. As a long time fan, I’ve been unable to put it down. It feels like a classic Tony Hawk game, but with fancy visuals and some quality life of improvements. And also, Downhill Jam, a level from THPS1, still sucks. I’m…

‘Shop Contest: Cleaning Robot

Yesterday, I wrote a small post about a robot I found in the Avengers game. This robot, like a robot you can find in Destiny, sweeps and sweeps and sweeps. Poor bastard. Let’s help it out. Your challenge this week: Send this sweeping robot to other games. I mean, it will still have to sweep,…

Watch Tony Hawk Collect S-K-A-T-E In Real Life

Normally, you won’t find floating letters hanging around skateparks waiting to be collected. But yesterday, Tony Hawk encountered this strange scenario and he did what anyone who’s played Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater would do: He collected S-K-A-T-E. I’m happy to see he collected the letters in the correct order. Sure, like in the games, you…

This week on Snapshots we have a nice selection of screenshots from a wide variety of games. Some from Ghost of Tsushima, others from Spider-Man, and a few from some games we have never featured in this series before today. Exciting! I realize some of you might not get the whole “bottom of an avatar’s…

I Can’t Stop Thinking About Final Fantasy XIV’s Latest Villain

Be it Sephiroth or Seymour, Zemus or Kuja, Kefka or a weird evil tree, Final Fantasy does not lack for classic villains. And while some of Final Fantasy XIV’s may not be as well-known, the MMORPG enjoys a particular knack for humanizing even the most heinous antagonists, and its latest is no exception. FFXIV’s patch…

Comparing The Sweeping Robots Found In The Avengers And Destiny

Back when Destiny first released I remember a lone robot sweeping 24/7 in a back corner of the Tower. Over time this robot became a fan favorite, even getting official merchandise. And in what appears to be a nod to that bot, the new Avengers game also has a sweeping robot of its very own.…
