CultureCosplayOverwatch Cosplay Is Also A Music Video
Look, I love cosplay photos, but this recent thing of making cosplay music videos instead is something I can very much get behind. Here’s ohmysophii as Overwatch’s McCree, and a one-minute video (shot by eugenephotovideo) is the perfect amount of time: long enough to let us actually see her cosplay in action, but not too long.

CultureEastshade Has So Much Personality That You Forget You’re Just Painting and Talking
Sometimes, when I’m feeling stressed, my mind instinctively hearkens back to peaceful, idyllic days and just lingers there for a little while: a perfect Sunday brunch. An hours-long walk along the beach. A concert so good that, for just a moment, the outside world vanished. Eastshade is a game that feels like those memories. In…

Bloodborne Is Ruining Other Games For Me
Last weekend, I tried to jump into some video games. I spent a couple of minutes with the very flawed Anthem, briefly glanced at the Tales of Vesperia remaster on my Switch, and even started a new file in Final Fantasy IX, one of my favorite classic role-playing games. All of these games had one…

Popular Horror Game Removed From Steam After Chinese Players Say It Insults China
Less than a week ago, the developers of P.T.-inspired horror game Devotion were riding high. Their game’s February 19 release was met with thousands of positive Steam reviews and hundreds of thousands of viewers on Twitch. However, after a weekend of controversy, Devotion has met an even more untimely end than the game that inspired…

I’m Obsessed With Anthem’s Mech-Entering Sequence
Anthem is not a particularly sensual game, especially for a BioWare joint. There are no romance options. There’s some light flirting while talking with computer-controlled characters, but nothing intimate. Gameplay outside of a mech suit is all first-person, so the player barely sees their character outside of cutscenes. But damn, the transition from first-person human…

Super Mario RPG’s Japanese Version Is Full Of Anime Tributes
They’re missing from the English-language version, sadly, but the original Japanese release of 1996’s Super Mario RPG on the SNES features a bunch of enemies who are very into Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Neon Genesis and even a Sega game. As Legends of Localization point out, when the game was translated into English, a lot…

CultureAqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am Is A Weird Golf Game
When I think about the animated Adult Swim show Aqua Teen Hunger Force many things come to my mind. The weird villains, Carl, the numerous name changes it had towards the end and that one time people thought their street ads were bombs. One thing I don’t associate with the series is golf. So it’s bizarre…

Who doesn’t love some salsa and chips? Well half of that great combo is being celebrated today because it’s National Tortilla Chip Day. What does that mean? Who actually celebrates these “holidays”? What Are You Playing This Weekend?
The weekend is for looking for a new available Origin name, because your Apex Legends teammates trying to pronounce whatever lazy thing you picked when you bought Mass Effect 3 isn’t quite cutting it. I will be playing a lot more Apex Legends, especially now that more of my friends are on. I’m also still…
