The NPD Group has released a report that indicates the average age that children start playing video games is dropping. According to a report from Gamasutra on "Kids and Consumer Electronics Trends III", kids are now, on average, starting to become gamers at around 6.7 years old. That's a drop from 8.1 just two years ago.
The report unsurprisingly reveals that children tend to game on portable devices at a higher rate than on home consoles, meaning Pokémon Copper, Nickel, Platinum, Molybdenum, Black, White, Mars, Venus, ad nauseum will continue to be big sellers over the next ten years.
Hey, whatever shuts those little sons of bitches up, I'm all for it. Play to your little heart's content.
