Looks like Ashcraft (by way of Japanese bloggers) was wrong. Japan is kookoo for Virtua Fighter 5. The Sega fighter made its debut on the PLAYSTATION 3 recently, nabbing decent enough sales to land the number one spot for the week on the Japanese sales charts. Blockbuster? Nah, but not a bad debut for the arcade port.
