Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to PC next week on May 27. The 2012 free-to-play MMORPG came to Xbox One earlier this year and the upcoming PC version will have cross-play with the console version. It’s extremely anime and has a space mall that’s perfect for online hangs.

Phantasy Star Online 2's beta is over and it’s officially out on Xbox One. The free-to-play MMORPG originally came out in 2012 but was never released in North America. Kotaku’s Heather Alexandra called it late-night gaming popcorn in her write-up. The game is also coming to PC in late May.

In what must be the oddest Japanese corporate announcement ever, comedian Egashira 2:50 reveals that Sega Games and Sega Interactive are merging to become...Sega. Egashira 2:50 says he’s cheering on the company, adding that he doesn’t want it to go under and hopes it creates more legendary stuff. 

Japan is getting a Panzer Dragoon game tentatively titled Panzer Dragoon Voyage Record sometime in the next year. Interestingly, it’ll be a VR game that retells the story of the original three Panzer Dragoon games from the Sega Saturn. It’ll be separate from the remakes that are coming to the Switch.

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie was originally scheduled to open on March 27 in Japan. However, due to the coronavirus, the movie’s Japanese release is being pushed back. The new release date is to be announced. In case you missed it, check out Kotaku’s review of the movie right here.
