Sting Entertainment’s role-playing roguelike Baroque is coming to the eShop in Japan later this year. Originally released on the Sega Saturn only in Japan in 1998, the game was remade and ported to PS2 and Wii a decade later. It’s an incredibly interesting but obtuse game with a lovely soundtrack.

Overwatch League tokens are back. Today, Blizzard announced viewers can now earn tokens when they view live matches either in the Overwatch League app or on Overwatchleague.com. Token drops have been absent ever since the League made the jump from Twitch to YouTube, forcing fans to spend real currency to obtain them.

The number of PS Now subscribers doubled to over 2 million in the last six months, Sony announced yesterday. Sony has been pushing the service by offering better games, free trials, and discounted subscription rates. Meanwhile, Microsoft announced last month that Game Pass now has over 10 million subscribers.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to PC next week on May 27. The 2012 free-to-play MMORPG came to Xbox One earlier this year and the upcoming PC version will have cross-play with the console version. It’s extremely anime and has a space mall that’s perfect for online hangs. 

Hidden object puzzle game Hidden Folks is getting free DLC over three years later. Co-developer Adriaan de Jongh announced the “On Tour” update today on Twitter, saying six new music-themed levels would come to the game on June 4.

CD Projekt Red’s Witcher-themed card game Gwent is now on Steam. There’s cross-play with the GOG and mobile versions of the game, and this also means Steam players of the standalone campaign, Thronebreaker, can finally start earning rewards in Gwent for their trouble.

The Binding of Isaac’s third and final DLC Repentance is still coming eventually. Revealed back in 2018, it was originally due out in the first half of 2019. The new release goal is this summer, but on Twitter yesterday creator Edmund McMillen said the ongoing pandemic could delay it further.

Kerbal Space Program is getting new DLC this summer that will have you journey to Mercury. Called “Shared Horizons,” it was made in conjunction with the European Space Agency to simulate past and future missions. It arrives July 1 on PC and later on consoles.

A local ordinance in Kagawa Prefecture asks gaming to be limited to an hour a day during the week and 90 minutes on holidays. Even though these are just guidelines, a 17-year-old is already crowdfunding a lawsuit to challenge this. “I thought it is wrong that an administrative body intervenes in family life,” he said.
