At long last, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered has a release date: August 27. The game is coming to PS4, Switch, and mobile, and will have cross-play. Sony capped off today’s State of Play with eight minutes of uncut The Last of Us Part II gameplay showing Ellie running around and killing a bunch of people. Her first victim? Some poor soul playing what looked like Hotline Miami on a fat, OLED Vita. RIP to a real one.
Street Fighter V is getting one final season of downloadable content, according to a recent announcement from Capcom. Players can expect five more characters and three more stages. Additional details are coming this summer.
There may be a PlayStation 5 online showcase as soon as next Wednesday, according to a new report from Bloomberg’s Takashi Mochizuki and some other guy. They write: “The virtual event could be held June 3, though some people also cautioned that plans have been in flux and that the date may change.”
Pokémon GO Fest will be a global event taking place July 25 to 26, Niantic announced today. Unlike last year’s festival which was exclusive to a few cities around the world, this year’s event will allow people to play from home. You’ll still have to buy tickets though.

The upcoming live-action Rurouni Kenshin films Rurouni Kenshin Saishuushou: The Final and The Beginning were slated for July 3 and August 7, but the motion pictures have been delayed due to coronavirus covid-19. The movies will now open in Japan theaters in spring 2021.

Sony’s next State of Play livestream will be completely devoted to The Last of Us Part II and air Wednesday, May 27, at 4:00 p.m. ET. Director Neil Druckmann will host the 25-minute long episode walking players through the game’s world and gameplay, including some stuff that hasn’t been previously shown.
