‘Shop Contest: Make Hope County Weirder, Winners!

Hope County has zombies and apocalyptic cults, but I wanted it to be weirder, and you definitely didn’t disappoint when I asked you to add odder things to Far Cry 5 If the Far Cry universe can extend to any zone, then I think that we should see a wider variety of creatures, places, and…

This Week In The Business: Is Selling 50,000 Copies Enough?

QUOTE | “Our hope is to find a balance between games that sell a shitload of copies and are good, and games that may only sell 50,000 copies, but are also good. We think it’s important to do those type of games. We do all the spectrum. We’re not saying no to games because we…

‘100 Percent Uncensored’ Sex Game Now Out On Steam, But Only In Certain Regions

If you were hoping to spend your weekend not with Spider-Man or Lara Croft, but instead with the outerwear-despising anime girls of the long-awaited “100 percent uncensored” Steam visual novel Negligee: Love Stories, I’m not gonna judge. But I am gonna tell you that even though it’s now out on Steam, you still might not…

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

The weekend is for binge-watching BoJack Horseman, but since I have a Switch, I can play games while I do it! I’ve been playing Bastion on Switch, and I’d forgotten how great that game is. Its colorful world feels even more special on the small screen of my Switch. I’m also excited to check out…

Let me set the scene: I’m 13 years old. For Christmas, I get the first game console that’s truly mine and not my older brother’s. It’s a…

The Internet Reacts To The New Silly iPhone Names

Apple announced some new phones today, and they’ve got real silly names. Every other year, like a curse, Apple released new models of the iPhone. This year’s are called the iPhone Xr, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. These are baffling names, though I know once they’re in the wild I’ll be dying to have…

Do You Smell Your Video Games?

Here’s a fun fact about me: I was born without a sense of smell. Here’s a fun fact I learned today: people like to smell their physical video games. Help me square these two facts, readers. While browsing reddit today, I came across a thread about someone surprising their wife with a video game. A…

Beating Dead Cells Fast Is Mostly About Running Away

Behold someone who has clearly played a ton of Dead Cells kicking the game’s ass in record time and making it look easy. Motion Twin’s side-scrolling rogue-lite came out just last month, but before that it spent a year in Early Access on Steam. That’s given a lot of players plenty of time to master…
