    Rock Band: Awesome *And* Affordable

With a rumored price tag well into the hundreds (okay, two hundred), cheap-ass gamers may feel like they'll be shut out of the Rock Band experience. Not so, says Harmonix's Ryan Lesser to GamesIndustry.biz, as he assures us that, while true fun knows no cost, the company isn't looking to put the screws to future fake rockers.

He calms those looking to jam on a budget:

There's no way we're going to make a game that people are not going to be happy about buying. We scrutinise every little piece that goes into every peripheral to make sure that it's affordable and still really high quality... and we're doing our best to make it awesome and affordable.

That's good news, but I still have a feeling that one or two gamers will complain, most likely on the internet and with bilious hyperbole, about the final price. Not me, though. I'm willing to spend up to one slightly-used kidney on Rock Band. But, not a penny more.

Nordic Game: Rock Band will be affordable, says Harmonix exec [GamesIndustry.biz]
