Most of you have probably heard of StripClubDJ, even if you don't remember why. His real name is Gary Dudley, and he's Xbox LIVE's top ranked player with 245,825 gamer points...who also happens to also be banned from the service. And, according to one of our tipsters, he's trying to sell the account, soliciting the sale in two separate messages:
I received this message from StripClubDJ: Tag for sale "I cant sign onto live but it still works and it is #1" if you know anyone that is interested tell them to contact me. And this message from InfamousDJ (his unbanned account): Tag for sale stripClubDj "I cant sign onto live but it still works and it is #1" if you know anyone that is interested tell them to contact me. U can play offline and update score threw banned window. So what would you pay for the top ranked Xbox LIVE account on the open market? Buying gold in WoW, or even a character, makes some sense since it will open up new gameplay opportunities. But owning an account one can't even play online? It sounds pretty pointless.

whyd he get banned
What is he banned for?
Mark, why was he banned?
lol
I think anyone willing to spend real life money for gamer score, an account or games like real poor EA titles just to get an easy 1k score are idiots. I have friends that does it, buy games they hate just for points, and it doesn't go a day without me telling them how I feel about it.
But I know there are many of you out there.
@theGimp: Selling his account?
Being too awesome?
If I recall correctly, he was banned for gamesaving to boost his score unfairly.
@theGimp: He cheated and exploited the system, if I'm not misstaken, how he went about it I have no idea, I bet if you google it you can find out how to do it, as well as how to be goldike in Gears of war and other games.
What point is there to buying a banned account? And I wager he was banned for being a idiot with the way he writes.
He's too uber 733t for xbox live!
I wouldn't pay a single dollar for a banned account. I'm proud of my measly 17,871 gamerscore.
How does one get an account banned? I mean a modded 360 will ban your unit but not your account.
@homernoy: I believe it was suspicion of cheating.
That's so pathetic. Sorry but I'll have to laugh at the sad person who buys this useless account. If anybody does it.
The only story I want to hear about, is the one about the retarded sap who pays good money for this account.
You can number one!
To those asking, he was probably gamesaving (look it up).
I wouldn't pay anything for gamerscore.
You can't do anything with it, its just for bragging rights.
If you didn't earn it, what would be the point?
@qbix: 17,671 us far from measly, unless you compare yourself to idiots like StripClubDJ who have practically all the points. I have 13,000 and change, and that's actually considered to be very high by all my friends. I have two friends in the 27,000 range, which is insane. My brother and most of my other friends are in the 1,000 to 7,000 range.
does it come with a free 360?
I-PEENS! GET YOUR FRESH HOT I-PEENS HERE!
LOL All those people who cheated their way to the top will lose their GT? Ha, serves them right.
Gamer points don't mean anything, so why cheat to get them? How moronic can you be ... it's like breaking into a store to steal fake money.
I played with Stipclubdj a bunch when table tennis came out. He had it set up so that he could see everyone's IP address in the room, then he would have it automatically boot anyone who came into the lobby with a different ip. This would ensure he could get his booster friends into games. Quite an elaborate process just to get some achievements.
Once I beat Assassins Creed, I should break 1,000, I think. That counts for something, right?
@TheCleaningGuy, jayntampa:
I suggest you ask all of the retards who buy virtual gold for MMOs if you really want to know. ;D
@jayntampa: Heh. Or breaking into a jewelry store commonly known to only sell cheap fake jewelry. There's a jewelry store in Towson mall (or was, haven't been there for a few years) called Imposters, and it sold real-looking fake jewelry, very very inexpensive and valueless unless you wanted that bling style on the cheap. Some fools robbed that jewelry store. Hah. Of course, the plethora of REAL jewelry stores in that mall probably had unbeatable security, they just didn't think to realize that the store with weak security may have nothing of value.
Buying an account takes all the pleasure out of getting the achievement points in the first place (the reason they're there)
Besides, with so many gamer points, you would never be able to get any of the achievements in older games (because he already cheated them into his account)
I take pride in the fact that I played the mock up in Cod 4 in under 20 seconds ;D
As many others have said, he was a game saver. Meaning he used save files from people who had already completed games to trick his 360 into thinking he should have the achievements unlocked once he loaded the save.
I'm a huge fan of achievements, and probably have more than a normal person should, but I really don't get the reasoning behind gamesaving.
599 US dollars.
@Kamizzle: I'm proud of that CoD4 achievement too. Took me about an hour to do it, because I'm bad at that game haha. I was able to get every achievement in CoD4 except Mile High Club, but I'll admit I had real trouble with a few of the parts on Veteran.
woooooo he needs a life, i bet he on his xbox 24hours a day non stop.
i do not understand why gamerscore matters at all.
Giant Enemy Crabs!
Maybe he got banned for having no life?
He was banned because of the new policy started a few months ago that banned people who downloaded game saves to boost their gamerscore.
I think user "Im So Godly" is trying to sell his account for $999. He is level 10 prestige on CoD4 and did it in something like 9 hours. He has a bunch of other account like bbb1bbb, bbb2bbb, bbb3bbb that he has pad him up to the top. Seems like way too much work to me.
So I looked up gamesaving on Wikipedia and found this
"High level hackers are now selling the gamertags at premiums exceeding $2000 on popular Internet sites, such as eBay"
I genuinely can't think of anything to say about people stupid enough to spend that much money on a gamerscore.
@qbix: Measly? I have 10,550 :(
Like the others said, he was most likely gamesaving - a procedure in which someone has already unlocked all the achievements, uploads the game save from their 360 using some data transfer thing and then posts it somewhere for other people to download. Once downloaded you transfer it to your 360 using said transfer device and booya - achievement unlocked. It's against Microsoft's TOS, so why people still do it I don't know. Takes the fun out of it if you ask me.
Some bad shit if you ask me. The cheating bitch he would rather acturly have more fun topping up his gamerscore than acturly enjoying the games.
He must be really stripped for cash, who in the world would pay for a banned account?
I feel sorry for anyone who buys/bids on this.
He had to be banned for cheating. According to his 360voice blog he got all achievments for GHIII, The Simpsons Game, and COD4 in one day. And another day he got 10 points, even though he didn't play. And if you look, he got 100% Gamerscore for Oblivion + Shivering Isles, even though he only played it once. Anyone knows that it's impossible to get 100% gamerscore on Oblivion in only 1 day.
[www.360voice.com] for anyone curious.
yeah the guy who is banned any anyone who buys his account are officially fags. i mean i dont think there is any other way to put it.
This is why I hope PS3 never gets pointless gamerscores. In game points make sense when you can "buy" new features with the points (ex: Uncharted and Everyday Shooter)...but getting points just to say you got them...step back and think about that for a second. Wow you did it. I'm so impressed? c'mon...
!
He couldn't pay me to have an account with 1,000 points in Vampire Rain
Not only is the account banned, but GamerScore ultimately doesn't mean anything. Oh, sure, I admit, I occasionally set aside time to go for an achievement, but still, those points don't do anything for me. Or anybody, to the best of my knowledge.
@WiggyDee: I just read that and now I'm wondering who has the money but the lack of sense to buy these. I'm thinking it must be an adult, because even the spoiled rich kids wouldn't be able to convince their parents to hand over 2 grand for a gamertag.
I don't get the point of achievements, but I have little patience so I'm probably not the type of person they're targeting anyway. It makes even less sense to buy a gamertag that's a known cheat.
Who in the world wants a gamer card? I mean what does it get you? NOTHING BUT BRAGS!
@2th: perhaps you should have tried to find another way to put it after all.
my gamerscore is 1200 =-)
@2th: "yeah the guy who is banned any anyone who buys his account are officially fags. i mean i dont think there is any other way to put it."
Yes, surely anyone who artificially inflates his gaming score is a homosexual.
I think maybe, just maybe, there MIGHT just be another way to put it. Hows about you think about it and get back to us.
Who the fuck would be pathetic enough to buy that? My gamerscore is in the low thousands and I could give a damn less. It's cool I guess if people find joy in unlocking new ones, but where is the joy in BUYING an account with the score? That takes away the fun of building up your score!
@Norellicus: Well, you can at least do something with MMO gold, like buy phat loots. It's a whole lot of virtual nothing, but gamerscore is just a number.
I do like the idea of the achievements system and gamerscore, but I don't think a high gamerscore is anything to be proud of. It's just a number! :-P
The only thing sadder than someone who racked up 245,825 gamerpoints is someone paying money for people to think that he has racked up 245,825 gamerpoints....
stripclubdj is a pretty cool guy, eh cheats teh system and doesn't afraid of anything
(don't ban me!)
Could this be the one of the 'hackers' that wikipedia also notes on its article?
