Death Stranding Update Will Let Players Delete Marooned Cars

Death Stranding requires players to build massive systems of roads and drive bouncy, buckling cars in order to make deliveries and rebuild America. Bridges and some structures can be deleted, but if a car gets stuck in rocky terrains or if a player leaves it in the middle of a path (either by accident or…

Star Wars: Battlefront II has tons of updates coming in time for The Rise of Skywalker. A blog post today outlined the addition of two new classes, new appearance for heroes and (I kid you not) turning BB-8 into a tough, playable hero character.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD rolls onto Steam on December 10. Not to be confused with our video producer, Super Monkey Paul Tamayo, Banana Blitz HD is a remake of the hit Wii game, only without all the motion controls and other Wii-ness. Also, Sonic is in it.

Majora’s Mask Glitch Warps Players Into Developer Test Room

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is having something of a glitch renaissance. One particular glitch that allows player to re-write memory values has allowed speedrunners to achieve a Holy Grail trick and warp to the moon. But where else can it go? Well, if done properly, you can even warp behind the scenes. The method…

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is adding a new and terrifying challenge. A developer diary today revealed that a tempered (read: hard mode) version of the already difficult Ruiner Nergigante will be coming to the game. Prepare to get knocked out when it arrives. A lot.

In June 2012, a random stabbing rampage in Osaka left two dead, including game music producer Shingo Minamino. Kyozo Isohi was sentenced to death for the killings, but the Japanese Supreme Court has overturned that ruling, giving him life in prison on the grounds he was suffering from hallucinations.

Persona 5 Royal drops on Playstation 4 on March 31 so you can start and never finish the sprawling JRPG all over again. The special edition adds more characters, a new part of Tokyo to explore, and an additional semester of school because who doesn’t want that?

The console ports for CrossCode, one of last year’s excellent action RPGs, have been delayed until sometime next year. Deck13, the game’s publisher, says it’s currently working on the Xbox One version with PS4 and Switch to follow. The Post Game DLC is also still in the works.

Resident Evil 3‘s Nemesis Is Still Terrifying

Resident Evil is the zombie horror game, but its shambling corpses are slow and easy to avoid. To reinvigorate the series, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis created an unpredictable nightmare man who attacked unpredictably with terrifying speed. It robbed players of their sense of control, and in doing so created one of gaming’s scariest monsters. This…

‘Shop Contest: Black Friday

This past Friday was Black Friday and had a splurge of gaming and electronics deals. I saw lots of people looking for new TVs. I still remember when flat screens were thousands of dollars and can’t believe so many high quality TVs are on sale now for only a few hundred. Of course, with new…

I Wish All RPGs Had A New Game Plus

When I was younger, dropping hundreds of hours on a RPG was no problem. It was actually something I was proud of. I spent so much time on RPG series like Might and Magic, Ultima, Dragon Quest, and Final Fantasy, it felt like a rite of passage. Part of what makes the RPG experience so…

What’s Your Favorite Video Game Soundtrack?

Whenever I got a new Sega Genesis game, I used to plug in the earphones to the console’s headphone jack to play it. I felt an invisible bubble form around me as the game started and I listened to the music in stereo sound. It was like I’d jacked into my own private universe. There’s…
