Dragon Quest X is getting a browser game version in Japan. Next year, it will be playable on PC, smartphones, and tablets. More details are expected to be revealed at a later date. No word yet on an international release.

In the first three days on sale in Japan, Pokémon Sword and Shield sold 1.365 million copies at retail. While digital downloads aren’t included, these sales figures have made the games the biggest first-week Switch sellers to date in Japan. According to TV Asahi, a 51-year-old man has confessed to calling his former employer, saying, “If I sprinkle gasoline [at the office] like Kyoto Animation, everything will burn down.” The man previously worked at the company, which is based in Nagoya, and said he had a grudge about how he was bullied at work. 

Inside Japan’s First Nintendo Store

This week, Nintendo Tokyo will open its doors to the general public. Today was a press preview, allowing for a peek inside for what to expect. Naturally, there is a ton of merch, including some excellent Japan-only items. The statues and the store layout look nice! There is also a Pokémon Center right next door!
