The Week In Games: Dance War

It’s an interesting week with the long-awaited Darksiders III, Artifact, and Floor Kids on a new platform. As a card game lover, I’m interested in what’s going on with Artifact, and I have stayed almost completely unspoiled as to how it works through this long beta cycle that has been running recently. I’m exciting to…

LEGO: Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Never Going To Happen

UnshiftedToast made these custom Red Dead Redemption 2 LEGO minifigs, with plans to recreate all 24 members of Dutch’s gang. I’d say you could skip half of them and get to making playsets instead, like the campsite, Valentine Saloon and a little plastic bath so little plastic Arthur can scrub his little plastic arms. I…

A Funny Game About Being A Frog Detective

Frog Detective is the second best detective in the world, and despite his ranking behind Lobster Cop, he’s gotta solve the mystery of the haunted island. The game’s about that. The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game is an odd creature. In terms of genre, I’d call it a “conversational adventure,” sitting somewhere between the…

Black Ops 4‘s Auto Mantle Toggle Makes A Difference

In a patch earlier this week, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 developers added in a slight tweak to movement controls: an Auto Mantle toggle. It allows you to decide when and how you want to jump over things. It makes a real difference. The mantle system in Black Ops 4 has been concentrated…

Mesmerizing Skylines Time-Lapse Shows Off A Stylish City

I love a good Cities: Skylines time lapse, and this is one of the best. As I’ve said before several times, I like to chill out with a well-oiled machine city. Cities: Skylines is the easiest choice for creating stylish cities, and so I spend quite a lot of time digging through YouTube to find…

Beautiful Dark Souls Fan Film Tells The Story Of The Chosen Undead

A YouTuber named TheParryGod has created a short film called “Fate” that cinematically tells the story of Dark Souls. It is disturbingly beautiful. If you watch “Fate,” the entire plot of Dark Souls will be spoiled for you. The entire thing. You have been warned. TheParryGod’s video is what people from the deep time of…

In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, I Travel In Straight Lines, No Matter What

I don’t like getting lost in video games. I love to explore and find secret treasures in the depths of a virtual world, but I’m methodical about it. It’s why I use the map in Metroid, and it’s also why I only travel in straight lines in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Even when it makes no…

This Freaking Thing Right Here

I just picked up one of those snazzy $200 PlayStation 4 Slim Spider-Man Black Friday bundles. It comes with the console, a controller, a copy of Spider-Man, USB, HDMI and power cables and a small piece of audio garbage no one needs. I can’t believe Sony is still including this stupid little mono monstrosity with…
