The European version of upcoming PS3 exclusive Beyond: Two Souls is going to be a little bit different from the American edition, after slight cuts had to be made to get it under an adults-only rating. First spotted by SCEUNCUT, the changes aren’t much; Sony has since confirmed that only “three minor aesthetic changes” have…

Welcome to October, the scaaaaariest month of the year. You guys like horror movies? I get the sense that some of you do. Let’s talk horror movies. Lots of people I know have annual October traditions that revolve around horror movies. For example, today my buddy Patrick Klepek posted his annual Shocktober Horror List over…

Boy Does The Attack On Titan Game Look Like A Blast

Sure, the characters on Attack on Titan use their ‘maneuver gear’ to get around because GIANT HUMANOID MONSTERS WANT TO EAT THEM, but you can’t say that mode of transportation doesn’t look like a ton of fun anyway. And in this regard, the 3DS version of Attack on Titan seems to indulge. Look at how…

For An Ice World Theme, This Sonic Musical Cover Is Hot As Hell

It’s been a while since we’ve checked in with Mr. Smooth McGroove, the bearded a cappella master who, along with his feline familiar and sick vocal chops, gives our favorite video game anthems new life. Here he is with the Ice Cap Zone theme from Sonic The Hedgehog 3—it follows up on his last Sonic…

The Xbox 360 Version of Battlefield 4 Doesn’t Look So Hot

Most of the footage we’ve seen of Battlefield 4 so far has been gorgeous. There’s a reason for that: we’ve either seen next-gen footage, or PC footage. Natch the graphics will be a step up from current-gen systems. Even so, you don’t realize how much of a step-up it is until you see the different…

What’s Your Favorite GTA V Jam?

One of the coolest things about Grand Theft Auto V (and about GTA games in general) is that each player will get a slightly different soundtrack. Sure, the general playlist will remain the same, but every iconic moment may be accompanied by one of dozens of great songs. And they are great—with GTA V, Rockstar…

Crash, Boom, Bang: If GTA V hasn’t sated your need for intense car chases, Need For Speed: Rivals likely will. This latest trailer shows the new kinds of challenges they’re adding to chases, which let you unlock upgrades. I really liked Criterion’s Most Wanted (Rivals is developed by Ghost Games), and I’ll be intersted to…

Street Fighter Vs. Plants vs. Zombies Vs. Your Eyeballs

Look, you know how this is going to end. A bunch of super-powered martial artists against cartoony zombies isn’t much of a fight. But, oh no! The ranks of the undead are swelling! How will the World Warriors prevail now? Blanka. Good old Blanka. Thanks, buddy.

Relive the Horrors of Public Transport with Train Simulator 2014

Everybody may be talking about GTA V, but why steal a vehicle when you could be a vehicle? Train Simulator 2014 allows you to inhabit the very soul of a train, to feel the very essence of what it means to be a locomotive. It also brings back the horrors of the daily commute I…

Leagues of Lore: I watched this entire League of Legends “Lore in a Minute” video and I still don’t really know what’s going on in League of Legends. But hey, there’s a lot of lore to cover.

This Is Literally The Worst DLC Of All Time

Yes, worse than horse armor. Yes, this is real. Yes, it’s an Amazon pre-order bonus Sonic: Lost World comes out on October 29 for 3DS and Wii U. Hopefully it’s better than its DLC. Hopefully all those risk-taking Sonic players enjoy it. UPDATE: For more elaboration on why I think this is so heinous, check…

Yes, Half-Life 3 was trademarked in Europe over the weekend, but don’t get too excited: trademarks come and go all the time, and this might not mean a thing. We’ve reached out to Valve to see if they’ve got anything to say, but we’re not getting our hopes up.

Why Peeks at Sports Games’ Next Generation are Usually Underwhelming

Yesterday, 2K Sports and EA Sports released looks at NBA 2K14 and Madden NFL 25 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. At best, both are whelming—maybe not under-, certainly not over- . Madden, however did show a little more. Still, here’s why these teasers leave me cold: They may be showing actual gameplay footage…

In Batman: Arkham Origins, Barbara Gordon Isn’t Batgirl… Yet

That’s Jim Gordon’s daughter up there. Man, let’s hope this means you’ll eventually be able to play as Batgirl. The folks making Batman: Arkham Origins have already said that Batgirl won’t be a playable character in the upcoming prequel’s multiplayer: Batgirl won’t be playable, nor did I see any female characters for the thugs. When…
