Japanese clothing chain GU, which is owned by Uniqlo’s parent company, is doing a collaboration with PlayStation for branded shirts, sweats, and hoodies. More here. 

AWOL anime maker Tear Studio has resurfaced. Its parent company Next Batter’s Circle has started moving forward with filing for bankruptcy. According to ANN, the studio is $393,000 in debt and owes $73,000 to approximately 50 animators.

Shintaro Kojima has left Capcom. Kojima produced Monster Hunter: Generations and has worked on a number of Monster Hunter games including the franchise’s debut PlayStation 2 title. 

A statue of One Piece’s Sanji has been erected in Mashiki, Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan. Eiichiro Oda hails from Kumamoto and the statue is a sign of support for the prefecture, which was hit by a series of strong earthquakes in 2016.
