Epic Games' unstoppable online game and social platform debuted in 2017, and its popularity shows no signs of slowing, with a steady stream of collabs with major musicians and iconic franchises.

Epic Games will be launching Fortnite’s free-to-play Save the World release later than expected, Epic announced today. Originally launched in paid early access July 2017, Save the World was slated for a full release sometime this year. Fans will have to wait until 2019.

Fortnite will be getting in-game tournaments starting October 16, Epic has announced, in which players will compete to earn points. The first tournament will be solos, with duos and squads to follow. Players won’t be separated by input device, and match-making will “pair players with similar point standings.”
