EA Play Live has been postponed to June 18 due to “the important conversations taking place around the world.” The event, which was originally scheduled for June 11, is meant to be a digital replacement for the publisher’s typical E3 showcase.

EA is moving ahead with its E3-adjacent event this year as a completely digital showcase. EA Play Live 2020 will take place on June 11 beginning at 7:00 p.m. There’s no schedule for it yet, but EA says the livestream will include world premiers and other news.

Bethesda won’t be holding any sort of digital news event in June around when E3 would have been, the company’s VP of marketing, Pete Hines, announced on Twitter today. Other publishers have mentioned working on alternate plans following the event’s cancellation, though nothing firm has been announced yet.

The ESA, the lobbying group that also runs E3, acknowledged today that information for media attendees of two E3s in the previous decade was on a third-party website and has “either been taken down or are in the process of being removed.” For more on all of the ESA’s bungling of attendee info, check our updated post Read more
