Nintendo

The company that gave the world Mario, Link, and Samus is the undisputed champ of the modern console war, with nearly 150 million Switches sold since 2017. But now, speculation is rampant about the company's next console, rumored to launch in 2025.

Nintendo released an update earlier today that patched out Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ item duplication glitch that was discovered over the weekend. Not that anyone ever used it. Because that would be cheating. And no one would ever cheat in an Animal Crossing game.

In its first three days on sale in Japan, Animal Crossing: New Horizons sold 1,880,626 package copies at retail. This is the biggest debut for any Switch game in Japan to date. During that same week, a whopping 392,576 Switch units (including Switch Lite) were also sold in Japan.
