Dragon Ball‘s Bulma Has A New Voice Actress [Update]
A new Japanese ad for a Dragon Ball branded bath cleaner features Vegeta and Bulma. Understandably, fans note that Bulma’s new voice sounds slightly different because Bulma’s voice actress Hiromi Tsuru suddenly passed away last fall. The bath cleaner commercial below is the first time Bulma has spoken since Tsuru’s death. Update February 15 –…

Here Is Mario’s Nipple Up Close
Over on The Models Resource, some folks have uploaded the raw files used to build Mario’s outfits in Odyssey. His “Boxers” costume is particularly interesting. Sweet dreams, everyone. Hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day not thinking of enormous zoomed-in plumber nipples. Until now.

PUBG Players Gifted Chicken Dinner By Strange Naked Man
Sometimes, you’ve just gotta know your limits. For R0b113 and a friend, it was just another duos match in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, albeit one they were winning. With only two enemies left, they wasted no time dispatching the first, whose last-ditch effort to grab a better position didn’t end so well. And then there was one.…

UncategorizedA Golf Game For People Who Hate Golf
I like golf video games but detest the actual sport of golf. And so here I am, very excited to see a game catering specifically to this set of interests. The brief for WHAT THE GOLF? opens with “Golf is boring — Help us fix it!”, and I am 100% down for that. The game…

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Has Some Problems
I’ve been excited about Kingdom Come for a long time. Since it was first announced back in 2013, the idea of a historical RPG with simulation leanings sounded fun as hell. Now that it’s out, though, I’m a lot less excited. Kingdom Come isn’t your average RPG. Conceived as an indie game, and funded via…

EsportsFighting Game Tutorial Is Brutally Honest
Last week, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] (yes, that’s its real name) found its way to PlayStation 4. Despite working with a smaller budget, this obscure anime fighter does a much better job teaching newcomers about the genre than most major releases. Its greatest accomplishment, however, is not sugar-coating the truth: you simply aren’t good enough…

To Understand Twitch’s New Dress Code, I Went To A Mall
Effective next week, Twitch’s new rules for what streamers are allowed to wear on-camera stipulate, among other things, that your attire “should be appropriate for a public street, mall, or restaurant.” In light of that, I ventured to A Real Mall to scrounge for fashion advice. I picked up some dress code tips along the…

UncategorizedThis Valentine’s Day, Spare A Thought For Yakuza 0‘s Horny Underpants Guy
If you’re single, Valentine’s Day is a great reminder that you’re alone. If you’re single and prone to bouts of self-hatred, Valentine’s Day is a great reminder that you’re alone and it’s because you’re weird. Reader, we don’t think that about you, but probably, that doesn’t help. What might help is sparing a thought for…

Dynasty Warriors 9: The Kotaku Review
If you’ve played an hour in one Dynasty Warriors game you’ve played an hour in all of them. That’s been the conventional wisdom for a while now and although Dynasty Warriors 9 doesn’t disprove it, it does point toward some interesting new possibilities for the series in its new open world setting. Dynasty Warriors 9…

CultureMetroid Prime Speedrunners Spent Nine Years Figuring Out How To Skip A Boss
Metroid Prime is a massive game, but speedrunners bypass most of it with complicated glitches and special tricks. A new trick just before the final boss cuts off nearly a minute of the game and helps solve the nine-year mystery of how to skip directly to the final battle. Crater Tunnel B is one of…

Five Of The Best Romance Anime
Ah, romance anime: a saccharine world of blush lines, reluctant crushes and 15th episode first kisses. It’s not the classiest genre, but on days when you’re feeling lonely or need a pick-me-up, it can certainly feel like home. Here are my top five romance anime picks: Clannad/Clannad After Story Clannad is equal parts hilarious and…

I Fell For A Game Just Because Of Its Map
On my first try, I didn’t like Dandara very much, despite praise for the game from my colleague whose taste in Metroid-like adventures I’ve since learned not to doubt. It really helped that I discovered that the game has a terrific map. It’s not the visual design of the map that I love. As you…
