Spore? Not quite done. Yet. Apparently. Electronic Arts announced that Will Wright's upcoming Spore could be delayed. Apparently, they haven't included in their fiscal year plans ending March 31, 2008. That supposedly means that the earliest we'd see the game is fiscal 2009, which starts next April.

Previously, the game was slated for a Fall 2006 drop date, but then it was pushed back to March 2007. Then, Will Wright said in an interview on the Colbert Report that it wouldn't be out until second half 2007. After that, there were rumblings that Wright said Spore would have a "Septemberish release date." Sounds like one of those it'll-be-done-when-it's-done kind of games. Brian Ashcraft
