I'm a graduate from NIU, and still live within a couple miles of campus. I'm probably more of a gamer than this fella. I think the problem lies more in the deep-seated emotional issues which he was medicated for than the influence of mean old videogames.

Jack Thompson aside, how can the people at Fox News keep pushing out misinformed piece after misinformed piece and continue to keep their jobs? JT has repeatedly gone onto Fox News to rant about his crusade, and it's been proven that he talks out of his ass 99.9% of the time, but they still keep putting him on...then there's the Mass Effect debacle. Seriously, if I #$*#ed up as much as them, I would have been fired long ago and probably black listed.

I always find it interesting that he chooses to attack video games as the cause for violence rather than the instruments used to perpetrate that violence. That's not to say that I agree with gun regulation, but it is to say that Jack Thompson is either knowingly full-of-it, or is completely missing the forest for the trees.

Nevermind the fact that the guy who perpetrated this horrible act was apparently on medication and had either stopped taking or took to much of it.

These people couldn't even be bothered to do any research as to where Obama went to a Muslim school when he was a child. If they're not going to research a story on a major Presidential candidate, why do you think they're going to research a video game?
