Anarchy Reigns Is Max Carnage
Anarchy Reigns from Osaka’s Platinum Games is like violent Wii title MadWorld—except people are going to buy it. Know as Max Anarachy in Japan, the beat ’em up is going to slap you upside your head, chainsaw you in half, and drive high heels in your head. The game is due out on the PS3…

The Worst Font. The Biggest Boobs.
PlayStation title Dragon’s Crown has the worst game title font I’ve ever seen. It also has enormous norgs. Go figure. Developed by Vanillaware (Odin Sphere, Muramasa), the inclusion of stylized female form isn’t a shock—that illegible font is. Dragon’s Crown is headed to the PS3 and PS Vita will be released globally in spring 2012.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Has Transforming Moogles, Recruitable Monsters and Rap
I’ve always thought that Final Fantasy XIII didn’t get a fair shake. Admittedly, it was an overwhelmingly linear journey—player agency wasn’t topmost among the priorities incorporated into its development. But it was an extraordinarily intentional game; nothing about it ever felt accidental or unplanned. It did a few things, but it did them exceedingly well:…

Where Is the Wii Vitality Sensor? Somewhere.
The Wii Vitality Sensor debuted at the 2009 E3 gaming expo. Then it was too mellow for last year’s and this year’s E3. Why? When asked this question earlier in April, Nintendo replied that it was still in development, but wasn’t yet working on 99 percent of Wii players. Thus, it doesn’t yet have a…

Prey 2’s E3 Screens Proves Aliens Do Indeed Wear Pants
I haven’t done a faster turnaround on a game than I did with Prey 2 the other day. Granted, that was for a cinematic trailer, so let’s see how well my excitement holds up looking at something a little more practical. Hrm. Well, I am a sucker for aliens in sharp suits.
