I Am The Hero is a pixel-art beat ‘em up coming to PS4 and Switch sometime in 2018. Previously on PC, the game has a Dragon Ball Z-ish combat style that helps distinguish it from all the other retro pixel-art games bathed in nostalgia currently out there.

It’s a follow up to Human Resource Machine, its more recent game about people crammed into a massive office trying to solve weird puzzles while machines run the rest of the world. Assassin’s Creed Origins has a new CGI trailer. That means none of this is real, but hey it still looks pretty. Aired at Microsoft’s pre-Gamescom event, the new footage shows Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, and Ptolemy will all play a role in the game. Also there will be pink and purple dye pits.

Children of Morta is coming next year and has a new trailer. Revealed back in 2015, the lush pixel art roguelike is a procedural game focusing on single family. Think FTL meets Bloodlines. We might be awash in these types of indie games at the moment, but I just can’t resist some damn good pixel animations.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance has a new trailer and a new release date of February 13, 2018. The “no magic bullshit” medieval RPG was originally due back in 2015 before slipping year after year. Building massive open worlds is hard it turns out, hence the cinematic trailer without gameplay.

Odd Tales’ The Last Night gets a new teaser trailer and Raw Fury has signed on to publish it. The work of Tim and Adrien Soret, which originally grew out of the 2014 Cyberpunk Jam, The Last Night is inspired by the brooding sci-fi aesthetics of games like Another World and Oddworld and the pixel art to prove it.
