Overwatch League Team Slogan ‘Texas Hard’ Deflated by Boner Jokes
At the end of January, Overwatch League team the Houston Outlaws revealed their season two roster and, with it, a new slogan: “#TexasHard.” They hoped fans would wield this hashtag with sincerity and heart, evidently having forgotten that they were on the internet, where that has literally never happened. Today, they changed it. The top…

Anthem Has Me Wondering What A ‘Release Date’ Even Is Anymore
Anthem releases today—even though plenty of folks have been playing it since last week. As games continue to evolve through patches and players pay for early access to fully priced titles, I find myself asking oddly philosophical questions: When is a video game “finished,” and when are games actually “released”? Let’s be real: Anthem had…

Apex Legends Player Spent $500 To Unlock A Rare Item, Says ‘It Wasn’t Worth It’
If you’re lucky, opening a loot box in Apex Legends might get you a set of “heirloom” items. These are ultra rare cosmetic items with a less than one percent chance of dropping, though you’re guaranteed to get one after 500 boxes. One player ended up paying $500 to go through 500 boxes in the…

The weekend is for looking for a new available Origin name, because your Apex Legends teammates trying to pronounce whatever lazy thing you picked when you bought Mass Effect 3 isn’t quite cutting it. Etrian Odyssey Nexus Is Busting My Balls And It’s Totally My Fault
I consider myself a veteran Etrian Odyssey player. So I came to the latest title in the series, Etrian Odyssey Nexus, pretty prepared for…
