Everything’s falling, from the leaves to the President’s approval ratings, and even Assassins!
If you live in the Northeast, autumn hit hard this week. Monday it was shorts and a t-shirt in the most humid 80s I can remember for the end of summer. By Friday I was closing windows and raking leaves after temps plummeted by about 30 degrees. It’s weird weather these days.
But the upshot is that this weekend’s ‘Shop Contest winner feels all the more timely.
The prompt was to combine fall games with fall rituals. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this meant a lot of Marios and Starbucks. Ihsus’s entry stood out though for being both following the rules and being a great ‘shop, not to mention picking the best seasonal past-time there is: diving into a pile of leaves to hide from unsuspecting guards who stand a mere five feet away.
The contest generated a number of other cool entries as well. The rest are below, but don’t go anywhere because the ‘Shop Contest is totally coming back again tomorrow as well. Three consecutive weeks in a row!
Phobox made one that looks great even though I don’t have any idea what it is.

You like parks? Gold leaves? Goombas? Cause Arayne has’em all.
LinkToFuture titled their entry “Shadow Of Starbucks,” which is fitting because that place really is run on a nemesis system.
