Good Lord. Just when you think a troubled game can't get any more troubled, it gets more troubled. Despite taking 19 years to get S.T.A.L.K.E.R. onto shelves, GSC Game World released a title riddled with 68 bugs, which meant a quick patch was needed.

And in one last, final slap in the face for anyone who actually picked the game up, it won't work with your old save game files.

...make sure any saves that were created prior to installing the patch are deleted. You will need to make sure that hidden folders are visible on the view tab of the folder options menu.

This game had a bad smell about it the second it slipped into the release schedule abyss. If you still picked it up expecting a polished, stable game, maybe this will teach you a valuable lesson. Luke Plunkett
