A PS3 delay predicted last week by an 'analyst' at Merril Lynch has been officially denied by a Sony spokesman, who also went on to re-confirm plans for a Spring 2006 launch for PS3.
"There is no change in our original plan to release the console in spring 2006," SCEI's Kei Sakaguchi told press in Tokyo.
Strangely, a conflicting report has emerged this morning from a second, unnamed Sony spokesperson commenting that a PS3 delay MAY occur if certain standards for technology due to ship in PS3 aren't agreed on soon. Will the real Sony spokesperson please stand up?
