Even Pokémon Think Taking Turns In Battles Makes No Sense
If you think about it, waiting around and letting someone attack you while you do nothing is kind of silly—and undoubtedly, the Pokémon we throw into battle feel that way about turn-based combat, too. Here’s a funny video by Shippiddge, where Pokémon decide to stop playing by the rules and just fight normally for experience…

How The Last Game of Thrones Episode Should Have Ended
Not everyone is pleased with the way the latest Game of Thrones episode ended—so at least one fan took it upon themselves to completely re-do it. Obviously, if you haven’t watched the latest Game of Thrones episode, you should not watch this video by Ozzy Man. In fact, you should probably stop reading now. I’m…

More Footage Of Parkour And Zombie-Killing In Dying Light
Techland just released an intense new trailer for Dying Light. The video shows off the open-world zombie game’s supremely bloody gameplay, along with some nimble parkour moves: The premise of Dying Light is that unlike Dead Island, Techland’s previous open-world zombie-killing simulator, the new game’s world follows a standard day-and-night cycle. The undead are already…

The Best Luigi Death Stare Videos
I’m not gonna lie: Luigi’s Death Stare is my favorite thing to happen in 2014 so far. Given that I’ve spent the entire morning watching these ridiculous videos of Luigi’s Mario Kart 8 death stare, compiled over at CollegeHumor and the /luigideathstares subreddit, I thought I’d round them up and share them. Make sure your…

Team Fortress 2 Meets One Of The Most Violent Games Around
Hotline Miami 2 is sure to be one of the most violent we’ll play this year, but it’s even more violent when recreated in 3D with characters from Team Fortress 2. YouTuber Nonamesleft recreated the ‘Dial Tone’ trailer for Hotline Miami 2 using Valve’s Source Filmmaker tool, and it looks amazing. Here’s the original for…

Five Minutes Into Vita Pets, And I’m Already Creeped Out
When Sony announced PlayStation Vita Pets last August, I was sure a talking puppy video game was all I ever wanted. Now that I’ve got my paws on the game, I’m more disturbed than charmed. The game begins with an important decision. There are four dog breeds for the player to choose from — Dalmatian,…

Aiden Pearce Doesn’t Need Legs To Hack The Planet
Tipster Stephen sent in this video after trying to use the White Hat Hacker outfit in Watch Dogs. Apparently it makes Aiden’s legs disappear, like my favorite GTA Online glitch Has anyone else had this problem in Watch Dogs? Have you found a way to fix it? Watchlist is where we show off gameplay of…

I’m Scared To Actually Start Playing Watch Dogs
When you write about video games for a living, you’re occasionally faced with the launch of a game so big that even random people you haven’t heard from since high school will reach out to ask for your opinion. For a long time, that game was Grand Theft Auto V. Then for a hot second,…

Tilt? The Walking Dead Pinball Will Remember That.
When Telltale Games’ PR director teased a surprise announcement via Twitter yesterday, my fellow Kotaku writers and I compiled a list of potential game reveals. Nowhere on that list was a The Walking Dead pinball table from Zen Studios. That’s not to say I am not pleased with the reveal. I’m a huge fan of…

The True Enemies of Dark Souls II Are Those Bloody Ledges
So many mysteries, so many unopened chests… The most frustrating parts in a game like Dark Souls II are not just the bosses, but also the ledges with loot that just looks unreachable. The chest in Max and Sam‘s clip however is probably just a mimic. Better leave that alone. Dark Souls II – The…

Organizing A Real-Life Street Fighter Tournament Would Be Painful
M. Bison, the host of Street Fighter’s fighting tournament has to realize that destroying Mercedes S-Class cars and temples full of elephants would be a bit expensive, even for a would-be world dictator. Pete Holmes suggests Atlanta for the entire tournament. Well, I know someone here at Kotaku who’d be happy with that location. Street…
