It’s Friday! Welcome to the weekend. We made it. Halloween. Election day. The launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. We survived. I’m about to go pick up Chinese takeout for my family, but before I do, here are some good deals on PC games to kick things off in November.

First, we have games that are temporarily free on Steam. Payday 3, which remains in recovery mode after its terrible launch, is yours to try risk-free until November 9. You can go download it, grab some friends, and try to pull off a few heists without spending a dime. “Launched badly, but it’s slowly taking a turn for the better,” one Steam reviewer recently posted. “To me personally, I love it now, but I can also see that it needs some more spice to give it enough kick for everyone. Will keep supporting and keep genuinely hoping that it could pull a Cyberpunk 2077 moment.”

Second, we have Age of Wonders 4, a generally quite good 4X strategy RPG. It’s also available to play for free until November 9. If you want a fantasy game that mixes empire building with fun tactical battles, Age of Wonders 4strikes a pretty good balance. Players are still encountering bugs and multiplayer issues, but if you just want to settle in for some cozy city building and battles and have a PC with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 card or better, it’s a good deal.

Moving over to the Epic Games Store, floating city management sim Flotsam is free to claim until November 12. It’s a feel-good post-apocalyptic game about salvaging debris, meeting fellow survivors, and combing through skill trees to help rebuild civilization. It’s vibrant, chill, and normally $25. And unlike Age of Wonders 4 and Payday 3, it’ll be yours to keep. If you haven’t already played it, this one’s worth having in your library.

Finally, a bonus round. I don’t usually recommend Humble Bundle’s monthly subscription, but the games for November are wroth a look. If you’re willing to sign-up, members this month are getting PC keys for Mafia: The Old Country, The Outer Worlds 2, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, and a bunch more games. Those three alone are well worth it, but horror shooter Crisol: Theater of Idols, which only released back in February, is also part of the mix. You can read our review of it here.
