With Apple's "magical and revolutionary" iPad hitting next week—April 3, to be exact—expect a flood of apps and video games to saturate iTunes at launch. Specifically, expect these games, unearthed from the iPad's app store.

The first wave of iPad games appear to mostly be upscaled upgrades of their iPhone and iPod Touch counterparts, according to screengrabs of the iPad app store from App Annie. We already knew that, thanks to early leaks of the existence of titles like Plants Vs. Zombies HD and Flight Control HD.

At next week's launch, we expect at least these games to be available for purchase on our shiny new iPads.

  • Flight Control HD
  • Labyrinth 2 HD
  • Cro-Mag Rally for iPad

  • Otto Matic for iPad
  • Sparkle HD
  • Boggle
  • Sudoku Real Edition
  • Bugdom 2 for iPad
  • Real Checkers
  • PuzzleManiak for iPad
  • Galaxy Control 2

Those games all have release dates of March 24 or earlier, as you can see in the screengrab below.

You can also see that these titles are priced much higher than their iPhone and iPod Touch equivalents. The "HD" upgrade tax means games like Flight Control on the iPad costs $4.99, compared to $0.99 for the iPhone version. The same with Labyrinth 2, which is $7.99 in iPad form, $4.99 for the iPhone. Enigmo Deluxe jumps from $2.99 to $9.99 when making the leap from iPhone to iPad.

No doubt that some of these prices aren't final and that the wild nature of iTunes App Store pricing will continue on the iPad. Expect price adjustments all over the place once the novelty of owning an iPad and buying sundry apps wears off.
