At the top of the “Places We Weren’t Expecting To See BioShock Infinite Referenced” list, Disney Infinity. I guess they both have the whole “Infinity” thing going, but a kid-friendly imagination game seems an odd place for a recreation of the floating town filled with racists and murderers. Have fun, kids!

I’d Forgotten This All-Girl Fighting Game Was A Thing
Man, what was that game again? The one where the women are all kidnapped and forced to fight, with the Nobel Peace Prize winner in the fishnet top and cut-offs with electrical tape over her chest? Man, good thing Kung Fu Factory decided to get rid of… oh wait, they’re still making Girl Fight? And…

Dying Light‘s Nighttime Zombie Chase Almost Gave Me A Heart Attack
There are precisely one billionty video games out there that ask you to imagine what it would be like to survive the zombie apocalypse. It figures that right after I write my hands-on preview of XCOM: Enemy Within, Firaxis would then release the video of its PAX closed-doors demonstration. (Video during my playthrough was forbidden.) Well, it’s worth the double-dip, because you can see some things I forgot to mention. The first is that a MEC trooper—the hulking mechasoldier…

XCOM Isn’t Any Easier in Enemy Within, but It Is More Thrilling
You’d think being given not one, but two hulking mecha-soldiers, for whom cover is a moot point because they can’t use it, would at least reduce the relentless battlefield tension that distinguishes XCOM. It doesn’t. When you can’t take cover (but you can provide it), and you have a flamethrower, a re-usable super punch, a…
