I Hate How Much I Want A PlayStation 4 Pro
When I first heard about the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, I thought they were the dumbest things. Upgrading a console at the midpoint of a generation was unfathomable to me, and I think developers should design for whatever framerate they want rather than whatever gamers demand. But as more games come out…

Almost everyone at Kotaku is playing God of War, and we cannot stop talking about it. Here’s what we’re saying. Here’s something I need you to know about Jason Schreier. Photo Mode Needed
I have been spoiled by Mad Max, Horizon Zero Dawn and Assassin’s Creed Origins. I have come to expect that I can unhook the camera in the beautiful game I’m playing and take some shots. I am impatient for God of War to get its photo mode. What we know of the photo mode is…

Play through Sindri’s Family Business quest and you’ll get your hands on an accessory called the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages. It has three sockets and…

The Misadventures Of Playing God Of War With My Dad

The experience turned out exactly as I anticipated: it involved a series of mishaps, frustrations, and a ton of laughs. Warning: Mild Spoilers to Follow When the latest entry in…

CultureBoy, Read This: The Internet Pokes Fun At Kratos In God of War
For such a grim, serious and violent game, God of War sure is making people on the internet laugh. God of War is a pleasant surprise. Playing as Kratos, the curmudgeonly dad and his precious son Atreus is both narratively satisfying and has interesting gameplay. It’s also given rise to one of my favorite current…

Let’s Just Appreciate God of War‘s Snow For A Second
God of War’s combat is exciting but it’s the little things that really leave an impression. A snow-covered walkway is making people freak out thanks to some crunchy sounds and dusty footprints. Kratos wants to do one thing in God of War: get to the top of the land’s highest mountain and scatter the ashes…

God of War Patch Increases The Text Size, But It’s Still Tiny
God of War is fantastic, except for the fact that trying to read any of the text has forced me to get up and stand next to the screen. A new patch for the game aims to fix that problem, but it’s not nearly enough. Patch 1.12, which went live last night, adds a slider…
