What Are You Playing This Weekend?

The weekend is for coming back from being away and dealing with the bag of lettuce you left in the crisper all week. Blugh. Also, video games. Risk of Rain had a surprise release on the Switch yesterday, thus adding to my tendency of only owning games I already own on PC. The game makes…

What We Liked (And Loved) About BoJack Horseman‘s Fifth Season

Season 5 of BoJack Horseman premiered this weekend on Netflix. It’s full of the usual dark humor and animals doing drugs we’ve come to expect from the show, as well as new developments, twists, and a lot of really excellent experimental episodes. Riley: Hello Gita! This weekend we watched Season 5 of BoJack Horseman. I…

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

The weekend is for binge-watching BoJack Horseman, but since I have a Switch, I can play games while I do it! I’ve been playing Bastion on Switch, and I’d forgotten how great that game is. Its colorful world feels even more special on the small screen of my Switch. I’m also excited to check out…

Do You Smell Your Video Games?

Here’s a fun fact about me: I was born without a sense of smell. Here’s a fun fact I learned today: people like to smell their physical video games. Help me square these two facts, readers. While browsing reddit today, I came across a thread about someone surprising their wife with a video game. A…

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

The weekend is for trying to decide if I should get someone to water my plant while I’m away or just water it a lot before I leave and hope for the best. It’s also for playing video games. I’ll be on a train for a while, so I’m pretty excited that so many great…

CD Projekt Red gave Gwent fans a first look at Homecoming during today’s Challenger. I find the new board a bit busy, but I’m excited about the new card layout and the tooltips. What do you think?

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

The weekend is for having a three-day weekend, the established Correct Amount of Weekend. That’s enough time to do lots of things and also play video games. Here’s September 2018’s Xbox Live Games With Gold Lineup

My editor-in-chief cheered “LEGO Stars Wars III!” at this month’s Xbox Live Games with Gold lineup, and his excitement made me excited, so maybe this is a good month for Xbox games. You also get some classic Sega action RPGs and the grim management sim Prison Architect. As always, these games are only “free” if you have…

The Week In Games: Eating Donuts On Trains With Yakuza

It’s another week in games, and we’re starting to move out of the summer doldrums and into more games than we can handle. Huzzah! Games I’m looking forward to this week include Donut County, Fear the Wolves, and Yakuza Kiwami 2. If you haven’t played the very excellent Sunless Sea, it’s coming to PS4 this…

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

It’s been a hell of a week, readers, but we’ve made it to the weekend. I have very big plans of doing nothing but running in the very nice weather, cooking (hopefully) tasty food out of the host of cookbooks I’ve bought recently, and playing a lot of video games. I finally caved and bought Yakuza…

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

The weekend is for finally making that pasta dish you spent all week planning to make but then kept ordering delicious takeout instead. Also, video games. I don’t have a lot of free time this weekend, but my friends have been bugging me to play some Overwatch with them. I have, in return, been bugging…
