Minecraft: Story Mode is being turned into a 5-episode interactive Netflix series. Telltale confirmed that it will arrive on the streaming platform this fall and be similar to Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout, with occasional prompts to make choices for the characters. Telltale is also making a Stranger Things game.

A report today by The Verge details the recent history of Telltale Games leading up to last fall’s layoffs, including feelings among many of the staff that the studio was stagnating creatively and had also become a toxic work environment under the leadership of co-founder and former CEO Kevin Bruner.

During the Game Awards, Telltale showed off The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. The trailer stars Javier, a young man who ultimately meets up with a grizzled-as-hell looking Clementine... after killing his zombified dad. A New Frontier kicks off on December 20.

Season Three of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, titled “A New Frontier,” will premiere December 20th on all major platforms and mobile devices. A retail disc will be available February 7.
