The next slate of Mortal Kombat X characters includes Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface, Alien’s xenomorph, Bo Rai Cho, and Tri-Borg. Bo Rai Cho is described as “master of the drunken fist” and Tri-Borg is a mashup of Cyrax, Sektor, and Robot Smoke. They’re arriving “first quarter of 2016.” You can reach the author of this…

Nightmare Fuel Mortal Kombat Cosplay

Hey, that mask looks a little weird, I wonder what’s unde-OH MY GOD Mileena cosplay by LyonegraCostuming. Extra cool is the fact the outfit was made for a con, which she walked around in all day covered with fake blood and holding that severed head.

That Was One Close Mortal Kombat X Match

Two pro players, Xarakamaka and st9rm, played one of the best Mortal Kombat X matches I’ve recently seen last night, during the ESL Pro League Season 2 semifinals. It was full of perfect combos, block strings and last second comebacks. They’re both character specialists at their finest, playing the same character from day one. So…

The (Fake) Story Behind The Very First Mortal Kombat Tournament

It’s hard to imagine, but the cast of Mortal Kombat weren’t always adults. At some point, they were kids. What could that have looked like? Well, Tedakin imagines it might be a little like…this: Kombat Kids is a ridiculous yet great fan-animation that looks at what classic Mortal Kombat characters were like before they became…

Theory: Mortal Kombat and Enter the Dragon Are the Same Movie

Here’s undeniable proof that Mortal Kombat and Enter the Dragon are indeed one in the same. Or, as previously pointed out, maybe it shows how Mortal Kombat borrowed heavily from Enter the Dragon? This clip is from YouTuber J. Matthew Turner, who recently showed how Ralph Macchio’s character is an unhinged sociopath in The Karate…

‘Realistic’ Mortal Kombat Fatalities Are Pretty Sick

After years of watching and playing Mortal Kombat, it’s rare to see a fatality that makes me go ‘holy shit.’ Most of them try a little too hard. Somehow, though, these folks have found a way to make fatalities shocking again. RackaRacka took it upon themselves to show us what some fatalities would look like…

Seven Times Game Creators Cameoed As Themselves

Whether it’s a classic adventure game, or a shooter that came out a few months, ago it doesn’t matter. Some developers and publishers just can’t resist putting themselves in their games, usually as a hidden easter egg, but sometimes they’re just right in front of us. YouTubers at OutsideXbox collected seven of these cameos. All…

Mortal Kombat. For the Atari 2600.

If Mortal Kombat went back in time and made sweet love to Pitfall, the result would look something like this. Yes, that’s Scorpion up there. What? Yes, I’m sure it is. Just squint and you’ll see how the yellow-and-black bits evoke the garb of the gory fighting game franchise’s undead ninja. Mortal Kombat: Netherrealm Journey…

There’s a slim chance you remember Tremor from his appearance as an enemy in the Jax-powered action game Mortal Kombat: Special Forces.…

It’s Even Grosser When Other Mortal Kombat Characters Act Like Mileena

Oh god. What nightmare fuel. YouTuber Life And Death shows us what happens when characters other than Mileena have access to Mileena’s moveset and, more importantly, have her propensity for biting. It’s…disturbing. This grossness is possible thanks to a PC mod which swaps the meshes available to the characters—in this case, Mileena and Kitana have…
