This easter egg from Deus Ex: Mankind Divided paints a grim future for Sonic the Hedgehog. Deux Ex and Knuckles will be coming to a store near you in 2029.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided isn’t the first game to take this approach (it’s not even the first Deus Ex game to do so), but it certainly puts it in the best terms. If your game has a story, this is 100% the right way to let people go about it.

I’m not normally one for clips of developers talking over the top of their video game, but this 17-minute Deus Ex video has Adam Jensen taking a very sad shower, so it gets a pass.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is delayed to August 23, 2016, Eidos Montreal just announced. It was originally planned for February. Insert all jokes about asking for things here.
