Blaster Master Zero will release on the Nintendo 3DS eshop in Spring 2017 according to an announcement by Inti Creates. The company acquired the license to the original game from Sunsoft and has been working on remastering and expanding it, adding new levels, enemies, etc.

The Dragon Quest VIII 3DS remake will be out in North America on January 20, Nintendo said today. It’ll have quick save, a “Speed Up” function in battles, and extra dungeons/quests that weren’t in the PS2 version. That means you’ve got two months to finish the 4,000-hour Dragon Quest VII.

Capcom announced a new Monster Hunter game. It’s called Monster Hunter XX (as in “double cross”) and has one rather messy looking logo. The game is for the 3DS and will be out March 18, 2017 in Japan. No word yet on an international release.

You can now get a lime green edition of the Nintendo New 3DS XL that comes pre-installed with Super Mario World. The old-style 3DS isn’t able to play ports of SNES games, like Earthbound. Nintendo is selling the system exclusively through Amazon.
