Resident Evil Requiem – 2026

Resident Evil Requiem, released in the series’ 30th year, is truly an anniversary game, playing like a Greatest Hits of some of Resident Evil’s best moments. It draws on pretty much every era, from the methodical horror of more recent entries to the campy zombie action of the Resident Evil 4 heyday. Requiem is full of references to old villains and ancient lore, reflecting on the specter of Raccoon City and ultimately proving less interested in paving the way for the future than it is in thinking about the past. But hey, it’s got the best-feeling shooting in the series and some of the spookiest, scariest, creepiest crawlies Capcom’s ever put on a disc. — Kenneth Shepard
