Anthem‘s Demo Ends With An Exciting Cloud And A Less Exciting Rock Monster

Anthem’s open demo, which launched this past weekend, had its first “mini-event” last night. A fiery vortex formed in the sky, and some big rock monsters appeared on the ground below. It made for a nice change of visuals and something new to hunt, but like a lot of what the demo has shown off,…

The Week In Games: Who’s Hungry For Some Gods?

This week’s biggest release is God Eater 3, a game which I don’t really know anything about! Looking at screenshots and videos it seems cool. Maybe I’ll give it a try when it comes out February 8th on PS4 and PC. Before I looked up anything about God Eater I had this idea in my…

Fortnite pro RizArt made a splash last fall when he set a new record for solo kills. Besides his gameplay, one thing that made the pro stand out was that he claimed to be in sixth grade. That was a lie. RizArt is a member of the Japanese Fortnite team Crazy Raccoon, which recently hosted…

Manchester United’s New Boss Cut His Teeth On Football Management Games

Caretaker Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær has had an incredible run since taking over from Jose Mourinho, which has been a bit of a surprise considering how dreadful United had been until the switch, and how Solskjær’s last Premier League experience had been relegation with Cardiff City. He’s had success managing in his native…

In JumpGrid, players control a small ship that can teleport to different fixed…

The New Tony Hawk Game Is For Phones And It’s Bad

Tony Hawk’s Skate Jam is the newest skateboarding game from world famous skater Tony Hawk. It tries to recapture the magic of those old Pro Skater games, but ends up feeling really bad to play. I loved the Tony Hawk games. For years I would excitedly buy each new installment. So when I heard The…

The Weird Story Behind Doom’s Rare “Ouch Face”

I don’t remember the exact situation I was in when I first saw the face, but I was surprised. I was playing Doom on a crappy Dell computer at the time. I was no older than 10. What was that? Why did the Doomguy look like he had just stepped on a LEGO brick with…

Fortnite Had An In-Game Marshmello Concert, And It Was Actually Pretty Great

This afternoon, I went to a concert in Fortnite. I don’t entirely know what I was just part of, but I think I loved it? Earlier this week, dataminers found hints of a possible in-game set by electronic music DJ Marshmello, who is known for wearing a white suit and a white, marshmellow-like mask. The…
