An apparently accidental listing of Mass Effect in the rebranded "Games on Demand" category (originally "Xbox Originals") was pulled quickly after getting out, but its RSS feed presence still lingers. And it's a little curious.
Mass Effect as a launch title for Games on Demand, which goes live in August, isn't exactly a surprise. But the wording of the RSS listing, spied by 360Sync.com, is intriguing, specifically this:
"Download new systems and worlds to visit! Meet new characters and encounter never before seen alien species! Find new weapons, armor and items as you experience a whole new adventure!"
Of course, this could be boilerplate promo for last year's Bring Down the Sky DLC. 360Sync fixates on "new systems and worlds" as the tipoff that it's more, as Bring Down the Sky had just one of each. Also, at Comic Con New York this year, Jay Watamaniuk did let slip that a second batch of DLC was in fact under development.
Could it be a big splash launch offering for Games on Demand? Is it coming in August? It'd make sense, and make the service seem like something other than a re-plating of Originals.
