Today during Gamescom Opening Night Live, we got our first extended look at gameplay of Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, a previously announced upcoming single-player action RPG set to launch in 2027.
In a nearly 10-minute-long gameplay demo, we get to see main character Kaatri fight off all sorts of D&D enemies using a combination of advanced dark magic and melee combat.
Here’s the full official gameplay video:
And here’s the official Warlock description courtesy of the game’s YouTube channel:
Play as Kaatri, an experienced warrior who makes a dangerous pact with Tasha to find someone she has lost. Combine forbidden magic, spells, rituals, and otherworldly weapons to open paths, create advantages, uncover secrets, and defeat monsters creatively. Venture beyond the Mists of Darkon, where danger, opportunity, and hidden power wait around every corner.
We see Kaatri’s powers in action in the above gameplay clip, with her able to alter the entire world, fire lightning bolts at enemies, and more. Impressive stuff.
Warlock is being developed by Invoke Studios and stars Tricia Helfer as Kaatri, a powerful warlock who owes her magical abilities to Tasha, played by Maggie Robertson, who acts as Kaatri’s patron and source of power. Robertson became a fan favorite online after portraying the extremely tall Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village.
Warlock is set to arrive on consoles and PC in 2027.
