What Is Assassin's Creed Ascendance?

Ubi Workshop pulls back the curtain on Assasssin's Creed Ascendance, the work previously known as Secret Project number three. What exactly is it?

It looks like an Assassin's Creed cartoon, or possibly some sort of motion comic. Ubi Workshop is the offshoot of Ubisoft dedicated to handling transmedia projects, bringing the company's games to other mediums. A motion comic or cartoon series would complement the comic book series revealed back in July.

The comic book, which saw play at the last San Diego Comic Con, features a story set in Russia and driven by noted comic book illustrators Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl. The dup actually visited Russia to work on references and concepts for the project.

The first issue of the comic book series goes on sale today.

Keep an eye on Ubi Workshop's web page for further developments.

Dear Ubisoft,

I get that you want the Assassin to look cool with his cape/cloak flapping in the wind behind him as he runs. But for the love of Jegus the way it looks in that video is absolutely horrible. Please work on that.
