Dirt Rally is getting Oculus Rift support next Monday, July 11. From what I’ve played of the non-VR game, it will be a lot to deal with. I’m going to play it anyway.

Thumper, an intense music game that lovingly describes itself as rhythm violence, is coming to PlayStation 4 and PC on October 13. It’s part of the PS VR lineup, but it’s not confirmed if the PC version will also support VR. “We hope to have good news soon,” the developer told me over email.

Valve just released Destinations, a tool for building locations in virtual reality. It’s powered by Source 2, and it lets you “create and share both real and imaginary places in virtual reality.” Right now the most popular thing on its Steam Workshop is a picture of popcorn.

The next version of Android, currently dubbed N, will have a proper VR Mode that makes the operating system more VR-friendly. Ars Technica has a bunch of details. The company will also start stamping certain phones as “VR Ready,” though right now it’s limited to the the Nexus 6P.
