Operation Para Bellum is now live on PC and console and brings with it a new patch which, among other things, has removed the ability to throw grenades back at enemies. In addition to new operators, this update also adds the Villa map, a mafia safe house on a country estate that looks absolutely lovely.  

The Nintendo Switch eShop just got easier to use with the 5.1.0 firmware update. The Best Sellers page now lists 30 games instead of just 20 with an additional option for download-only games. It’s also now possible to click on developers’ names to find other games they’ve made. Now if only there was voice chat.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 received a hefty free update today adding challenges, daily quests, and more hats, as well as custom mod support. Okri’s Challenges along with daily quests each offer new opportunities to collect loot, while commendation chests now have a higher chance of dropping cosmetics.

11 bit studios, maker of frigid survival sim Frostpunk, has laid out a road map for the game’s free 2018 updates. First up is the new Survivor mode planned to arrive in June, which increases the difficulty and adds more modifiers. That’ll be followed by a new story scenario and sandbox mode later in the year.

For Honor’s Season Six update is now live. It adds some new skins and weapons to collect as well as reworks to the Orochi and Peacekeeper classes. There’s also a new map, Beachhead, and more importantly, a new event called The Rite of Champions that runs until May 31.

The first part of Minecraft’s Update Aquatic is out today on Xbox One, PC, mobile, and various VR platforms. Announced at last year’s MineCon, the update overhauls the game’s water sections and will release in two phases. Today’s portion adds swimming, shipwrecks and buried treasure.

Rocket League will be getting new cross-platform friends lists sometime this summer according to the game’s latest development road map. Players will be able to search for friends and invite them to parties between PS4 and PC, and Xbox One, PC and Switch using a new type of in-game ID.

Minecraft on the Switch will get its long awaited Bedrock update on June 21, Nintendo has announced. The free update adds cross-play with Xbox One and Android devices, as well as Xbox achievements. But starting in September, players will need a paid Switch Online subscription to keep playing online.

The next season of Rainbow Six Siege will be Operation Para Bellum taking place in Italy, Ubisoft announced today. This confirms earlier leaks to that affect. The game is also getting a new Pick & Ban feature, an Echo buff, changes to dropshotting, and a new counter defuser animation, as well as an all new map.

Dragon Ball FighterZ gets its next update on May 9. It adds new modes, including Party Battle where three players team up to fight over-powered bosses, and fixes a number of bugs. It also tinkers with some characters like Goku Black, but doesn’t do much over all in the balance department.

FIFA 18 will get a free World Cup update on May 29 on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC. It includes online tournaments and a World Cup Ultimate Team mode, as well as a custom mode in which you can create your own World Cup team from scratch.
