The Messenger now has a new game plus mode thanks to its latest update. You’ll need to 100% the game to unlock it, but after doing so you’ll be able to replay the entire thing on a harder difficulty and with all of your stuff from the previous playthrough.

Completely out of the blue, the top-down co-op shooter Helldivers got a new update on PS4 and PC. Called A New Hell, the small expansion adds higher difficulties, harder enemies, and a new piece of equipment. The game’s also free for the weekend on Steam.

Today Nightdive Studios released the source port update for System Shock: Enhanced Edition on PC. Not to be confused with the full remake the studio is working on, the update does things like add higher resolution options and mod support for the existing version, while also fixing many of its bugs. 

The latest Fortnite update, patch v5.21, went live this morning adding a new limited time mode called Soaring 50s, the Heavy Sniper Rifle discovered previously by data miners, and a sniper only mode. Soaring 50s is the usual 50 vs. 50 mode but with the ability to re-deploy gliders.

For Honor’s seventh season went live today, including the addition of a new map and reworks to the Warden and Valkyrie classes. The update also adds new legendary gear, an additional 10 reputation levels, and Master and Grandmaster player ranks. Ranked duels will now be in rotation outside of tournaments as well. 

Fortnite’s new update is now live, bringing back a nerfed Guided Missile and Jetpacks in a new limited time mode aptly titled “Fly Explosives.” Both are also now available in Playground Mode. Slurp Juice is also back after last week’s update broke it. I had some this morning. It was good.  

Ghost Recon Wildlands’ next free update is out July 24. Special Operations 2 will include a Ghost Mode featuring permadeath, as well as an option to turn off AI companions and travel the world completely alone. Ubisoft is also overhauling the Prestige credit economy so they can be earned in the campaign.

Merciless martial arts brawler Absolver is getting a free expansion in September. Fornite’s latest patch went live this morning, officially vaulting the Tactical Submachine Gun. It’s been replaced by a slightly higher damage, lower round SMG. Meanwhile, the Typewriter Assault Rifle is being added to Save the World mode.
