Two weeks after release Dragon Ball FighterZonline still isn’t working reliably. Players complain of disconnects, matchmaking issues and problems connecting with friends. Bandai Namco says the devs are focused on improving online play. Thank goodness. I’d hate to think they’d given up and wandered off.

PS4s are getting a big firmware update today. Probably the biggest addition is Play Time Management, which lets PS4 owners manage their kids’ gaming from their PS4, web browser or smartphone—but changes to the PS4's user interface and menu should please everybody.

Streets of Red is a retro beat ‘em up headed to PS4 and Switch on February 27. There are a lot of side-scrolling brawlers that aim to capture the original arcade experience, but Streets of Red really commits by not allowing you any continues or saves. When you die, it’s game over and you have to start all over.

In Japan, Monster Hunter: World has set a record for PS4 retail debut, selling 1,350,412 package copies in its first three days. That doesn’t include downloads, so the actual total is higher. Either way, impressive launch!

“Fixed various issues with flying boats” - That’s from the patch notes for Assassin’s Creed Origins’s next patch, 1.21, which will hit on January 30. The patch also promises changes to make the game’s recently-added Horde mode easier.

PlayStation Network is currently experiencing some problems. A note on the service’s status page reads: “You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
